Intermediate Stained Glass - Blooming

Intermediate Stained Glass - Blooming

The sweet blooms are a great way to step up in stained glass. The slight curves look easy enough but there is some techniques to learn. This class will run 4 hours but could take longer.

***This is an intermediate class. If you are a beginner stained glass student, please choose one of the other classes. However, if you have taken classes elsewhere, I'd appreciate it if you would email photos of your previous work. Please send to: erica@acraftability.com Thanks!***

Our students are encouraged to take 2-3 beginner level classes before moving up to intermediate. Intermediate classes introduce harder cutting techniques and require more precision.

Students are offered an in-class discount of 20% off their next class, if purchased in class.

Want a private class or class for your group? Email erica@getacraftability.com to see book.

IMPORTANT: Stained glass creation has inherent risks. Glass is sharp and unpredictable, the solder and soldering iron is hot, and the solder we use is 40% lead. Kids, 12 and older, who are mature, patient, and will listen well to instructions are always welcome.

All attendees must sign a waiver before they can attend class. Click here for your waiver.

If purchasing classes for other people, please forward them the email for the waiver. Email finished waivers to: waivers@getacraftability.com

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy any supplies?

No. Your tuition covers all premium raw materials, canvases, clay, safety gear, and specialized tool rentals. Your child just needs to show up in clothes that can get messy!

My child is right on the age border. Which class should they join?

We generally recommend placement based on their age as of September. However, if your child has advanced artistic experience or fine motor skills, contact us to discuss placing them in the higher tier.

What safety protocols do you have for the handcraft tools?

Safety is our top priority. Heavy-duty tools (like carving chisels, leather punches, and sewing needles) are introduced step-by-step with mandatory safety briefings. Younger students use age-appropriate, blunt alternatives. PPE will be available as needed.

Can I drop my child off or do I need to stay?

This is a drop-off program. Parents are welcome to run errands during the 90-minute block. We do ask that you return 5 minutes before dismissal for our group critique and pickup.

What happens if we miss a class?

Because our projects require specialized tools and instruction, students can join another session or individual makeup sessions can be scheduled. These must be scheduled within two weeks of original class or class will be forfeited.
